Advancing Hope for Children with Spina Bifida
Audrey was born with spina bifida, a condition that can affect mobility, cognition and organ function. She came to Shriners Children’s™ at just 4 months old, where her specialized care team developed a personalized treatment plan with orthopedic care, therapy and mobility devices.
Today, Audrey is reaching milestones her family once only dreamed of. Her mother proudly shares, "Audrey recently started walking independently!” Research at Shriners Children’s into novel in-utero procedures could transform the lives of children diagnosed with spina bifida before birth.
